Juvederm and Restylane dermal fillers offer a safe and effective non-surgical option for smoothing facial wrinkles and folds. Juvederm is one of the newest FDA approved fillers for lines and wrinkles.
This filler lasts up to 6 months and is great for lip augmentation and nasolabial lines (facial parenthesis). Juvederm gel is very smooth and gives a natural look and feel. Juvederm does not require allergy testing. The injection process takes about 15 to 20 minutes and the results are immediate.

Artefill lasts 5 years or longer and therefore should be placed only by experienced injectors. In our office Dr. Aguila personally does the injections.

Lip Augmentation and Contouring
As we mature, our lips tend to rotate inward and lose volume. Corners of the mouth move inward and the "wet-dry" junction of the lips disappear. Placing fillers into the lips in these patients is necessary to give structure to the corners of the mouth and also to rebuild the volume to the lips that was lost. The idea is to rebuild the lips to their previous state and give them a normal contour rather than enhance their volume. The result is a return of the lips to their normal size and ratio of 1 to 1.6 of the top lip to the lower lip. We encourage our patients to bring in previous photographs to use as a guide of what their lips looked like in the past to restore their natural look.
The lips may also be augmented, adding more volume to lips that have already a good contour and ratio if patients so desire. Lip fillers are done in the office and under proper anesthesia including blocks for patient comfort. We use Juvederm or Restylene for lip enhancements.
